Today didn’t go the way I planned it. We have been dealing with digestive issues with my son for a little over a year now. He ended up having the school call me to come pick him up today, so off I went. I let my boss know first thing that it may happen, since he woke up not feeling well. I told him if he calls me, we will head to the pediatric urgent care.
So I rushed to make myself a salad to eat in the doctors office since I assumed we would be waiting. Grabbed a banana, and some of the tofu egg bites I made over the weekend. I ended up eating the tofu bites on the drive there, and had like two bites of the banana before deciding it was under ripe and tasted weird.
I actually wasn’t hungry for my salad when we got there so I waited. I ended up saving the salad for dinner today. No snacks, no stops for something yummy, though walking through Target waiting on his medicine, I saw plenty of things I would have gone for just two weeks prior. I usually try to steer clear of the meds, but this situation is weird for my son. Point of noting all of this is that even if your day doesn’t go the way you plan, there is always a way to choose the right thing, even if it means delaying eating until you are somewhere you can choose the right foods.
Anyway, for breakfast I had an Oatberry Smoothie again with the cucumber, but this time I added Bok Choy. Its very mild in flavor but high in Calcium. It was pretty good and I was glad that it wasnt cold as today was super cold out. I stuck it in my Stanley cup for the heck of it.

I took a picture to send to my husband this morning and I could really tell how my face has changed. Its less puffy for sure, and I feel like around my chin is narrower as well. I did dip into the 167’s today at 167.8. The nice thing is I can see the changes on the scale, but knowing I am doing it for something outside of solely losing weight, and for my health. Before on the left, today on the right in the Olive shirt.
